Each year, student teams decide if they are going to be active in the upcoming academic year. If you would like to either form a new team or continue with your current team鈥檚 work, an application form must be submitted.

If you would like to participate in the annual golf tournament, your application must be submitted by August 1st. Otherwise, applications are due on September 30th. An advisory committee will review all applications and will confirm whether the team may proceed.听

Every team must have a Faculty Advisor. Please reach out to your professors and department heads if you are not able to find a faculty advisor for your team.

• Endorse the value of the student team听
• Meet with and advise the team on a regular basis听
• Facilitate access to resources听
• Provide a recommendation to the Advisory Committee on competition readiness

Rules for the Teams
听

• Obtain the support of a Faculty Advisor.
• Identify two (2) Team Leads to represent the team throughout the academic year.

• Define the leadership roles within the team
• Provide information about the competitions being attended
• Define approximate budget, space requirements and technical support needs for the upcoming year
• Work with a faculty member to develop a Project Plan for the academic year

• Attending check-in meeting with the Faculty Advisor (to be scheduled)
• Attending working meeting with the ideaHUB Engineer (to be scheduled)
• Completing mandatory worksheets throughout the year, including:
  • Project Plan, including design and build milestones
  • Budget
  • Next year鈥檚 hand-off and proposed team structure
  • Accomplishment Summary
• Completing safety training requirements & fostering a culture of safety.听
• Keeping workspaces tidy & safe.
• Daily cleanup of their area to allow other teams to work.
• Collaborating with others in shared space.
