A new survey from the Agri-Food Analytics Lab suggests Canadians consider food security the most important electoral issue. However, country is extremely聽divided in global trades聽for the sector.聽
According to the survey, the Conservatives聽are considered as the best national stewards for the agrifood sector, followed by the聽Liberals聽and the聽Green Party. The聽People鈥檚 Party of Canada聽support on agrifood policy equals the聽New Democratic Party鈥檚. The聽New Democratic Party聽is considered as the best positioned to deal with聽food affordability, while the聽Green Party聽is seen as championing聽food waste. However, the number of respondents who are unsure is very high, at 42% nationwide.
