The Precision Agriculture Research Team led by Dr. Qamar Zaman participated in the Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Society for Bioengineering (CSBE).
The meeting was held in Edmonton, Alberta on July 05-08, 2015. Mr. Aitazaz A. Farooque, a PhD student was awarded the Best CSBE/SCGAB Graduate Thesis Award (PhD) and received a certificate and $200 cash from CSBE.
Mr. Farooque’s PhD thesis was entitled ““Performance Evaluation of a Commercial Wild Blueberry Harvester using Precision Agriculture Technologies and Bio-Systems Modeling”.
Graduate students from the Faculty of Agriculture made oral and poster presentations in different technical sessions at the meeting. Students also participated in volunteer activities to organize different events during the CSBE meeting. More than 150 delegates from different countries participated in the conference.
